Good shabushabu in the middle of Japan Town
Good shabu shabu at a very reasonable price.
Super nice associates and really good food. Came in on a Saturday and got seated right away. They were not busy. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. We ordered food came right away. It's all you can eat and once we finished a plate she got a new plate of food right away. After all the meat there are ice cream served. Since I can't decide which flavor. She gave me one of each. Loved all of them. Highly recommend
Get the all-you-can-eat option. Good quality meat. Fast service. Very satisfying meal!
Great shabu, great selection of produce to go with meats.Ayce is a great option if you're really hungry, but I found the portion for single serving really did the trick.
Others may come here for shabu shabu but I come for the omurice.
Food was below average, even for a hotel location. It is possible I simply ordered the wrong thing (chicken katsu), but the people I was dining with were equally underwhelmed. Service was good.
Shabu shabu was delicious. We tried all the meat by doing all you can eat. Food presentation is okay. The place seem not so popular so its definitely a gem for thos that do not like to wait for tables like I do.The staff was great and attentive. We will definitely come back for spontaneous eats.
Really good shabu-shabu
The Japanese Breakfast option are phenomenal! ... & The Espresso is perfection!!!
Since it was my first Shabu experience, I'm no expert. But this meal was amazing! We did the all you can eat plan and just kept the food flowing into the broth. The spicy miso paste will haunt me with its absence from my everyday life!
Super fun place
Awesome!! Amazing food, amazing service, and a great place! My sister and I couldn't stop eating. Six stars place, +1 for the carrot star <3
This place has quick friendly staff with good, well priced, food. During my stay, I enjoyed breakfast and lunch and tried the more quirky items on their menu. All items were great and came out quickly. Would recommend for your quick meal while staying at the Buchanan or as you're visiting Japantown.
Love the all you can eat for I think 90 mins. A good way to spend your lunch hour during the week.
Delicious breakfast, excellent service.
Great breakfast and cute waitresses.
Great place! Such friendly staff. I had a ton of rib eye, and some lamb. Very very good. For sauce my favorite was the peanut sesame. I put some garlic and green onion with it. We're definitely going here agian soon! Great experience.
We had a table of about 25 people and the experience was amazing and so was the food!
Very good quality! You don’t have too much choices at here, but the food quality is very good!
Not real Japanese style (according to my Japanese companion) but the taste of this Shabu-Shabu is still good. The meat was cut a little too thin even for Japanese, not all of the veggies are Japanese and the base had less flavor then usual. That said the veggies and meat still taste good and you get a good selection of dips and sides. The staff was friendly and brought us new meet right away after we finished a plate. 30$/person gets you a all you can eat meal which seems fair.
Nice place and friendly staff!
Meat smelled and tasted old. Edges of the meat slices were dried up. Meat would fall apart when trying to take a slice off the meat tray to cook in the broth. You end up with shreds. Broth was very bland (at the end of the meal, it reduced down and was okay). Veggies were good. Someone on yelp described it as "meat water." Decided to use just one side of the split pot to concentrate as much flavor as possible. Used all of the miso and spicy miso pastes, all onion, and all garlic.
this place will surprise you. the staff was very welcoming and observant. this place has a nice design.
Very nice meal after event @ Moscone Center
Friendly staffs, generous portion
Just had breakfast there as I was staying at the Kimpton Hotel. Limited selection, but well prepared eggs with bacon and toast. I had their omelette on morning which was pretty good. And I also had their smoked salmon and cream cheese on toast. It came with sliced onions and capers and was good although a little light on the smoked salmon.
Place and service is good. Meat is decent
Very friendly staff. We had not had Shabu shabu before, but the waitress was happy to explain, without making us feel stupid. Luckily I'd had Chinese hotpot before, so found it similar. The ingredients used were fresh and delicious; we were very full afterwards. And for dessert, the green tea ice-cream was lovely. You need to ask for a key for the bathroom, by the way, which is downstairs.
Excellent service, nice Japanese breakfast menu. Will be back to try the Shabushabu sometime!
Five stars for decent quality and a great AYCE price. The broth is a little bland, but they have great sauces. The service was also amazing and the food came quickly. No big complaints and would definitely come back.
Food is high quality but the broth is just ok and the service is professional but painfully under-staffed. If you order 'all you can eat' you'll need to be aggressive about it.
Delicious shabu shabu and friendly staff. The restaurant is low key with all you can eat. The meat is very good and I recommend the beef. Staff were very kind in clearing a small bar area as we hadn't made reservations. If you want to go on a weekend night I'd recommend making a reservation as it gets pretty full and booked up.
Nice shabby shabby meals, good for friends and guests coming in town
They open early and their quality of service and sauces and broth and meat is awesome. Been here a few times over the last few years and it's never been a disappointment - highly recommend this place!!!!
Very awesome! May have potential to become my go-to place. All you can eat option is just phenomenal!
I don't know why more people weren't here during the day. Perfect traditional Japanese breakfast, with fresh fish, pickles, and Miso soup. Delicious and fresh.
Randomly ended at this place when trying to find some lunch in the area. Had my first ever Omu Rice (as I don't eat meat and fish) and it was on point! 👌 It was very filling too!I had it with the Japanese curry as add-on.
Very solid and delicious Japanese hot pot with all you can eat buffet. Various choices of vegetables in the combo including mushrooms, lettuce,
Good shabu shabu place. It wasn't too busy when we ate there, so service was quick especially when bringing out the meat. Good place, overall.
Fantastic Curry rice!
Traditional Japanese Style Breakfast was delicious! Quick and thoughtful service. A real jem!
I love the atmosphere here. Workers are very kind and courteous. Just know the menu changes on the time of the day so there may be certain items you can't get during lunch from the breakfast dinner and etc.
Great local spot for Japanese comfort food. Will come back and try the shabu.
Good food, great atmosphere.
This is a great spot for big groups of friends ready to have a fun night. I have come here a few times with a group of 6 or more and it's been a good experience each time. The all you can eat and drink option is fairly pricy but worth it if you come hungry and thirsty. Service is very quick and the food is fairly good quality. The atmosphere is loud and fun. I suggest more for the experience than the food itself.
Good food and service. They should improve the ventilation system.
For some odd reason, I was really craving Japanese curry and I came across Mums - since everywhere else was closed around 11AM in Japantown. Though they aren't known for its curry, I'd it's pretty delicious. I got the katsu curry that came with soup or salad and coffee or tea. The curry sauce melted in my mouth and the pork cutlet was crunchy!Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and tasty curry! I'd say give it a try if you're not in the mood for their shabu shabu.
More of a traditional-japanese Hot Pot. Don't get it confused for Chinese/Mongolian Hot Pot. Great ponzu! I would recommend folding their meats into manageable sizes and then dropping it in and swishing.
A tough review. Was at restaurant twice today. First time bourbon AKA Jim Beam and Coke $7. Great service. Edamame was the bomb.3 hours later same drink was 10$ and the 7$ chicken wings consisted of 4 damn near raw flats. Service was awful.5 stars for first experience, 0 for second.
